MONDAY, 1ST MAY 2023

Namaste everyone! This is week 13's blog from teacher Bal! So, on May 1, 2023, a Monday, I did not go to school due to the labour day public holiday. Labour Day is a holiday that honors the efforts of labour.

TUESDAY, 2ND MAY 2023

The second day of week 13 is here. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend school today as I was feeling under the weather. As a result, I had no activities today; it was simply a rest day for me. I'm looking forward to returning to school tomorrow!

WEDNESDAY, 3RD MAY 2023

I'm finally back in school. This morning, I arrived at school early. I gave Puan Hasnah my MC for verification. I just had one lesson today, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., with my 1 Elit students. It was a listening session. Students were able to fill in the spaces with sentences from the audio and they circle the correct responses to the questions after listening to the audio. My students, from what I could see, were developing their listening abilities in order to focus better. Students scribble down the crucial information they heard from the audio, word for word on a piece of paper before writing proper sentences.

THURSDAY, 4TH MAY 2023

Today is the second to last day of week 13. Due to Wesak Day, there was no school today. During Wesak Day, Malaysian Buddhists commemorate Buddha's birth, enlightenment, and death. I spent the entire day at home working on lesson ideas for next week's class.

FRIDAY, 5TH MAY 2023

Today is the last day of Week 13. My morning began with the Moral students gathering in Bilik Seminar. Puan Rada, the in-charge teacher, led a prayer with all of the Indian students. Dewan Al-Razi hosted a Yassin recital for Muslim students. Following Puan Rada's session, the Moral students participated in a game called Werewolf, which was led by teacher Ashivini. We spent thirty minutes playing the game. Following the session, I returned to the staffroom for my weekly lesson plan consultation with Madam Michelle. I opted to finish my logbook today because I didn't have any classes. This pretty much sums up my Friday! Thank you very much!

MONDAY, 22ND MAY 2023 Mirror mirror on the wall, lend me your eyes and read it all. Hello and welcome back to my blog! Today is the sixteenth week of my practicum. Since there was no assembly today, I entered 1 Cemerlang to film a video for my supervisor's review. Miss Nabira, my supervisor, requested that I record myself teaching an English lesson to the students. I chose to prepare a healthy egg sandwich meal with my 1 Cemerlang students for today's evaluation. Students first read a brochure on 5 simple steps to making a nutritious egg sandwich, and then I created the sandwich in class with them. The students were thrilled to make the sandwich. Students brought their own plates, and I prepared all of the essential components in class, including corn, scrambled eggs, wholemeal bread and tomatoes. WEEK 1 (6/02/2023 - 11/02/2023)

MONDAY, 6TH FEBRUARY 2023 Today was supposed to be the first day of my practicum session, but it was a Thaipusam public holiday. As a result, I did not report on duty today. I'm leaving tomorrow with butterflies in my stomach! TUESDAY, 7TH FEBRUARY 2023  Finally, it is time to report to Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bayan Lepas on the island of Pulau Pinang. I was a bundle of nerves, so I woke up early. I set my alarm for 5.20 a.m., dressed, and was out the door by 6 a.m. When I arrived at the school, security directed me to the office. I was taken to the headmistress's room in the office.  I handed her all of the college's required documents and my teaching permit from Jabatan Pendidikan Pulau Pinang. Week 20 (19/06/2023 - 23/06/2023)

MONDAY, 19TH JUNE 2023 Hello and welcome back to my blog! Today is week 20. This is my final week as a practicum teacher. According to the document provided by the Minister of Education, I am meant to complete my practicum by June 30th, 2023; however, Puan Fatimah Salini said this morning during the assembly that next week would be a week of Hajj school holidays. As a result, this Friday will be my last day of school. I began the day with morning assembly and then arrived at 1 Cemerlang at 8 a.m. sharp. Today's theme was Spending Wisely, and students were able to complete the notes after listening to the chat and fill in the bubble map with examples of groceries you should buy by the end of the session. At 9 a.m., I had the same session with my 1 Elit students. Both classes' lessons were a lot of fun. Students from both courses agreed that rice and eggs should be purchased as groceries.
